Synopsis

Two scavenger girls and a charismatic Tlacuache*, recall the story of José, a small peasant boy who faces the despotism of a king. With scrap iron, cardboard and newspaper, the girls tell this story to try to understand the value of the human voice. The king wants to kill the only remaining field of flowers and José, with his song, demonstrates the injustice of this and defends himself from the king’s relentless violence.

* Tlacuache is an opossum, but it’s also used to refer to a person who buys and sells pieces of junk.
